Het Kwade Oog

This month, the Antwerp film club 'Het Kwade Oog' has brought together two films that belong to the underground genre and have an anarchist undertone in common.
Both films are also not exactly good friends with the censors.
About his film 'Le Sexe Enragé' (1969), Roland Lethem said, 'Prostitution serves the anarchist revolution. To live, to survive, one must destroy the bourgeoisie. In the face of raging sex, the bourgeoisie loses its "dignity" and becomes nothing more than a white mouse. In the film, that white mouse is literally bitten in half by one of the participants in a wild orgy. Lethem has always tried to play a taboo-breaking role with his films.
In 'Vase de Noces' (1974) by Thierry Zeno, a young man lives on a dilapidated farm with a sow. She gives him three cute little pigs, which he kills because he can't muster enough patience. The sow is so impressed that she drowns herself. The young man, in turn, finally hangs himself after first trying to bury himself with the sow.
According to Thierry Zeno, the characters should be seen as ideas and not as bodies.
